You can sort data in any of the views using any of the columns as a sort key. To do so, simply click on a column header; another click would reverse the sort direction. For more information please refer to the "How to Browse Data Entries" section of the help file.

Yes, it is possible to specify the previous season's standings, which will be taken into account by the rating system when initial ratings are assigned in the beginning of the current season. Thus, previous season's standings will affect the forecasts for the current season. Sometimes national characters are shown incorrectly in IntelliTipster - this may be due to the host operating system's regional settings or font problems. You may try to change the font and/or script (char set) used to display the team names to work the problem around. First, switch to the teams view either by pressing the Ctrl+Alt+T hot key or via the View menu, then click on the Points column header to sort teams by points in the descending order. Now, given you have all the results up to date, you will end up with the current league table.

Naturally, there's no means of knowing the future for sure, meaning that no prediction method would give you a 100% accuracy. However, IntelliTipster utilizes advanced forecasting techniques, which is why it is capable of making very accurate predictions, in some cases (for some leagues) it may reach 84%, meaning that outcomes of 84 matches out of 100 were predicted correctly. Since IntelliTipster produces outcome probabilities, the correct prediction is defined to be such that it has the highest probability for the correct outcome. As an example, let's assume that some match is predicted as 60%-30%-10% (home win - draw - away win) and it actually ends with a home win; in such a case the prediction has been correct, since the probability for the home win has been the highest of all three outcomes possible.

With the introduction of the new web update feature (i.e., starting with version 1.4.0) you can keep your scores up-to-date effortlessly. At any moment you can issue the File->Update Now command and IntelliTipster will check, whether the currently open league requires an update, if it does, IntelliTipster would download an updated league file and re-open it. Additionally, IntelliTipster now automatically checks for updated version of the league when you open it. If due to some reason you'd like to disable this behaviour, it can be done in the Web Update section of the Preferences window (Edit->Preferences). And of course, you can still use the old approach - i.e., update your league files manually, by downloading a newer version from the Download section of this web site and then substituting the old league file with the new one.

Most probably yes, you can. All you need to do is to set up your network connection settings correctly (refer to Edit->Preferences->Web Update). IntelliTipster also supports firewalls and proxy servers that request user authorization.

First of all, make sure that you have carried out all the steps outlined in the How to Register section of the help file (refer to Help->Help Contents). In particular, make sure that you have downloaded and installed the very latest version of IntelliTipster. Also, do not forget that name, e-mail and registration key are case sensitive, and even if your e-mail address has changed since the moment when you registered, make sure you use the address that was entered durning the registration process. If you are unable to register IntelliTipster anyway, please do not hesitate to contact our technical support.

First, download the latest available version of IntelliTipster, here. You may choose either to save the installation file on your local computer (e.g., on your desktop), or to run it immediately upon download completion. If you chose to save the file, wait till it's downloaded completely, locate it on your system and launch it via double-clicking on the file icon. If you chose to run the file immediately, it will be launched automatically. Now, simply follow the instructions on the screen, the process is almost the same as installing IntelliTipster for the first time, which you've already done earlier. The only difference is that the installer will ask you whether you'd like to keep your existing league files, or overwrite them with newer files from the installation package. Also that you can select whether to overwrite a file or not on an individual basis, i.e. you can overwrite some of the files and keep the rest. Be careful here, since as soon as a file is overwritten, there's no way of getting it back!

Note also that there's no need to uninstall the software before proceeding with the upgrade. But you can still do so, if you like.

When purchasing an IntelliTipster license and become a registered user, you receive the right to obtain all minor software upgrades for free. This means that as long as only the second and the third digits of the version number change, you get a free upgrade. As soon as the very first digit of the version number changes, this is considered to be a major upgrade, which will not be for free (but it will still cost a lot less than the license that you purchased initially).

For example, if you purchased IntelliTipster v1.6.1, then upgrades numbered 1.6.2, 1.6.3, 1.7.0, 1.8.0, 1.9.0, etc. will be provided for free. At the same time, when version 2.0.0 comes out, it will be a major upgrade, which will not be for free, but will cost a small fraction of the original license fee you paid when purchasing version 1.6.1.

Note also that a version upgrade is optional, which means that you don't have to upgrade, unless you want to. For example, having purchased version 1.6.1, you may stay with it (or any other 1.x.x version) for a lifetime, not needing to pay any additional fees.

Yes, it is possible. Actually, IntelliTipster can import league data from a CSV file, formatted in a particular way, and spreadsheet software, such as Microsoft® Excel™, can export tabular data into CSV, which makes it possible to transfer the data from your spreadsheet to IntelliTipster, and then to save it as a league file.

In order to perform the import, launch IntelliTipster, from the File menu, select Import... and follow the instructions on the screen. It is advised to consult the help file (just hit the Help button in the import wizard window) for important notes on the CSV file format.

IntelliTipster is designed to make accurate predictions based on vast amount of historical match data using advanced artificial intelligence techniques, which include (but are not limited to) adaptive neural networks and genetic algorithms, combined with powerful statistical analysis methods, mathematical simulations and dynamically tuned match profiling.

The main factors that are taken into account are the following: overall team form ratings of the competing teams for the current season, overall team performance profiles matched against a database of most typical profiles, weighted team performance during several most recent matches, team scoring patterns for the current season, ongoing win/lose sequences for the competing teams, as well as previous season's standings (if available).

These and some other minor factors are combined, dynamically weighted and fed to the IntelliTipster's complex forecasting core, the Themis Engine, which then produces home win - draw - away win probabilities for the given match.
